What is the current recommenation for HTTP acceleration/caching?

Should it be disabled or is it ok to enable this feature.

I.e between two company sites with intranet services in both locations (and Sharepoint).

Thomas  - there has been no real change to the http acceleration code - so I would still leave the accel feature turned off. My understanding is that this is being addressed in either the 5.7 (shortly) or the 6.0 (next year) release.

Caching can of course be turned on, but no accel benefits.

You can switch on the HTTP acceleration with the command line util but we have run into all sorts of performance problems. So Juniper suggest switching it off as it only works in specific environments.

Hi Thomas,

Andre is correct, we currently reccomend leaving the http acceleration disabled. We are currently testing a new version of the code and hope to release a version which overcomes the curent issues.
