  • 1.  EX2200 Base License

    Hi all, Does the base license for the EX2200 provide any OSPF functionality? The data sheet details "OSPF v1/v2 (with 4 active interfaces)", but I'm guessing this is only with the enhanced license? Thanks.

    I believe you will need the license indeed.

    I have done some work/testing with EX2200 and OSPF in a lab and the base licensel will do up to 4 x OSPF interfaces.

     

    The extended license is for beyond 4 OSPF interfaces on the switch to whatever the maximum value is for the EX2200.

    Ive tried ospf on an ex2200-24p-4g. Even with just 2 interfaces listed in OSPF, it complains "warning: requires 'ospf2' license"

    You need the EFL.  SKU is EX-24-EFL.  There is a different license for EX2200-C.  See:

    EX2200 EFL for OSPFv1/v2 supports max of 4 active interfaces
