Hi,
I've got a EX2200 which I've received brand new. I've configured it up and now trying to administer it using the web management interface. When I login to the gui, it just hangs. And I can't click on anything. Just sits there with the hour glass. I even tried upgrading it to the latest firmware but didn't make any difference. After checking the httpd.log file on the switch I see the messages below:
default:0 pool.1 Could not get interface index
default:2 pool.1 Sending message to Gk
default:0 pool.1 GateKeeper returned failed [Rc - 0], [Type - 9 ], [Data 1 ], [GKTYPE-]
default:0 pool.1 Could not get interface index

default:1 pool.1 Error: 404 "Not Found" for "/jsdm/javascript/fw-auth.js", file "/html/jsdm/javascript/fw-auth.js": Can't access URL
default:2 pool.0 Sending message to Gk

Can you please assist? Thanks

hi meh,
it would be good to have the 'latest firmware' version mentioned explicitly. I assume 11.3R2.4. The screenshot shows you have the new EX2200-C model. The release Junos 11.3R2.4 notes say:
EX2200-C switches do not support switch connection and configuration through the J-Web interface
EX2200-C, EX3300, and EX6210 switches do not support switch connection and configuration through the J-Web interface. [This is a known software limitation.]

can you check the total free space in the flash ??

I do have the same issue with EX2200-C and I'm running version 11.3rR2 (latest availible). I have also tried version 11.3rR1.
I did also run 'request system storage cleanup' to free up space on disk.

It looks like EX2200-C with 12.1 now supports configuration via web interface!
"J-Web interface configuration for EX2200-C, EX3300, and EX6210 switches—You
can now configure the EX2200-C, EX3300, and EX6210 switches in the J-Web interface."

Apparently the Web interface is absolutely trash, even with 12.1. It's constantly locking up. This is my first Juniper switch and I'm disappointed.
EDIT: I switched from IE9 to Chrome and was able to commit the config for the first time without locking up. In addition, when I clicked on Interfaces > Ports, nothing would happen but in chrome that also works...

There's a couple of issues going on here. I noticed with EX2200's and EX4500's in particular about 80% of the time i get the switches from juniper the factory loaded code is whacked. At minimum the Web Interface rarely works on a switch straight out of the box. Sometimes the switches don't even boot. I have had no issues using firefox with freshly loaded code of any rev. 10.4, 11.x and 12.1.
The web interface is quite nice but you really really should not lean so heavily on them. You lose so much functionality using them and it makes your configs look like crap. For example, when you create a layer 3 vlan it creates the layer 3 vlan interface with the next available number, not a corresponding one. If you are creating your first Layer3 vlan interface on the switch for vlan 1000 for example. Your interface won't be assigned vlan.1000 it will be vlan.2. Interface groups (interface-range) are not a clickable option in the webui. Thiey allows you to take a 1000-2000 line config and make it 200 lines. These are just some functional examples i can think of off the top of my head. Further if you rely exclusively on the WebIUI you will be wholly unprepared for any other juniper products like the MX line that do not have a WebUI.
