  • 1.  EX2200 virtual chassis questions

    Hi,

     

    I have some questions regarding virtual chassis, as I don't get everything explained in the docs...

     

    If I understand well, a virtual chassis having 2 members will have a master member and a backup member, but are the backup member interfaces down? If so what triggers the failover between master and backup?

     

    Let's say I have a simple setup: 2 SRX210 (FA and FB) in a cluster connected to a LAN through 2 switches (SA and SB) in VC.

    To ensure redunduncy, I suppose I'll have to connect FA to SA and SB, and FB to SA and SB... or not?

     

    Any help would be appreciated 🙂

    Yes for redundancy, you can connect: FA to SA and SB, FB to SA and SB.

    OK, so the interface of the backup switch will be unresponsive to any arp trafic? Will it behave like a linux bonding in mode 1?
