EX4200 - Status light not lit on SPF

Hi,

I have a 6 member VC consisting of 2 switches in 3 cabs. I am using a EX-UM-2x4SFP with an EX-SFP-10GE-SR to connect the VC between cabs. What I have noticed is that the status light on 3 of the SPF are not lit however the VC is complete and also passing traffic. I have issued a "show virtual-chassis vc-port statistics extensive member 4 vcp-255/1/0" on the member without the status light and this shows no errors and is functioning properly.

Has anyone else seen this before??

I have little similar problem with EX-UM-2x4SFP. But I don't want ports to be VCP, but regular 10g switch ports. Problem was that to make it non VCP i have to paste these two commands after each reboot for each port:

request virtual-chassis vc-port set pic-slot 1 member 0 port 0
request virtual-chassis vc-port delete pic-slot 1 member 0 port 0

JTAC told me to upgrade to 10.4R2.6 or higher and also mentioned these two PRs: PR 573857 and PR 571198. That has almost nothing to do with my problem, but upgrade solved it.

I am using version 10.4R3.4. So was your issue the status light not comming on?

If I remember correctly, Yes. The interface xe or vcp didn't exists and was not up. (> show interfaces xe... interface does not exist)
