Hello all,
We have a virtual chassis consisting of EX4500 and EX4200 devices. Last week member 3, which is an EX4200, seemed to reset all of its interfaces briefly which of course caused a short network outage. I opened a ticket with JTAC but they don't seem to have many answers. Attached is the excerpt of the messages log. Anyone seen this before or know what could cause this?

Hello,
Running 12.3 R3.4
Nothing about a memory issue.
Says that command is not valid on the ex4500-40f
Hi,1- Just wanted to be sure , I asked because I faced a problem much cliser to yours . And solved by upgrading to 12.3R7 .You can see at the PRsearch juniper site, just before two weeks ago they updated a Problem Report .https://prsearch.juniper.net/InfoCenter/index?page=prcontent&id=PR9577322- You can refer this error "GENCFG: op 8 (COS BLOB) failed; err " to this PR : https://prsearch.juniper.net/InfoCenter/index?page=prcontent&id=PR997946 that says clearly you need to upgrade to R9 .I would suggest upgrading the device to R9 .
I've never used that PRsearch site before. That's really handy and good to know for future occurrences. I appreciate the response as it at least gives a very real answer to what could have happened. I figured I need to upgrade JUNOS anyway so this gives proper justification. I appreciate your responses. Thanks!
