Does the EX4200 switch running JunOS support SDN (OpenFlow or Contrail)?  According to the online documentation, it does not.  But, I wanted to verify since I heard otherwise.  Thanks.

    EX4200 doesn't support OpenFlow.

Thanks for the response.  I take it the EX4200 does not interoperate with Contrail either?

I'm not sure in what way you are looking at EX4200 to interoperate with Contrail.

    Can you be more specific?

The Contrail documentation mentions a contrail controller.  Can a contrail controller manage an EX4200 like a virtual-router?  I would think not but I am not familiar with Juniper's SDN offerings.

Also, is the NorthStar Controller a contrail controller?

OpenFlow or Contrail answer is no for EX4200.  The supported platforms are EX4550, EX9200, all MX and QFX5100.  For 10/100/1000 Base-T, best option is QFX5100-48T.
