    Hi All

I have looked through some of the documentation relating to the EX8200 series switches but cant find out if it supports 802.1ae in hardware or any other type of link layer encryption.  I'm assuming this means that it doesn't, does anyone know if this is right, if so I'm gonna have to get a Cisco Nexus :-s

My understanding is that Juniper does not currently support 802.1se in the switch product line but that it is under consideration for a future release.

As Kevin stated, not at this time. We would instead recommend a stateful firewall such as the SRX series for transport encryption. Even the tiny ones can move a lot of bits 🙂
