Hi all.
Is there a Ruggedized L2 Switch from Juniper?

i'm not sure if it meets your requirements for 'ruggedized' but Juniper is now shipping the EX2200-C models that are supposed to be more hardened and fanless

I just received an EX2200-C-12P-2G and it is pretty nifty.
Target installation will be a water pump house (I work for the govmint) which is potentially a harsh environment.
I'm not sure what counts as 'ruggedized' for your needs but this switch seems pretty tough and able to take a knock or two.
The magnetic plate mounting option for the switch is also interesting...

I've been playing with these too, and they are great little units - being fanless is especially useful in offices/retail environment.
As far as ruggedised goes, while they are fanless, they still have a maximum operating temperature of 40 degrees celsius on the spec. sheet, which rules them for most industrial/utility verticals, which is a real shame.

We could really use this as well. Right now we have to use Cisco IE3000 switches for industrial use. The mount on standard DIN rails. Seems like the 2200C could be changed to fit that form factor. We had a test unit and it seemed superior to the IE3000 in most areas.

hi michael I can's share in this type of forum, but I can get you in contact with the person who would manage the type of product everyone seems to be looking for this thread...
you could also look into the ACX style router, send me some contact info and we can get you in touch with the product manager for the bu that handles this type of requirement.
