  • 1.  Issue with 10G SFP port

    Dear all,

We're having an issue with one SFP 10G Port. We have an EX-UM-2X4SFP (4x1G or 2x10G) inserted on our EX-4200 series.

For several months the card was working perfectly, we swapped sometimes to 1G and 10G on the configuration without problems.

From yesterday, one 10G port (xe-0/1/1) is not showing on the vlan, so no traffic through it.

In the show chassis hardware output we can see that the SFP is recognize and show all the parameters (part number, serial, type...). We swapped the SFP's and the same issue, port xe-0/1/0 appears in the vlan and traffic can go through it, but xe-0/1/1 can't.

Power on the xe-0/1/1 seems to be ok, as we can see light on the SFP.

We loaded to factory defaults to avoid configuration issue, but still the same trouble.

With 1G ports works perfectly and are assigned to the vlan.

Also we swapped to another EX-UM-2XFP in the same switch, and didn't have troubles to assign those ports to the vlan. As they are detected with the same name: xe-0/1/1, we think is not a configuration issue (obviously after factory default).

    What else can we do?

Is the port broken on 10G but not on 1G?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards.

    Hi,

    shouldn't it be xe-0/1/0 and xe-0/1/2 (instead of xe-0/1/1)?
