    I have EX2200 with a LAG setup as ae0

    want to connect it to a 4200 with LAG setup as ae1.

     

    Does it matter what the ae number matches.?

    Not at all. The numbers have local significance only. Most try to keep them the same number for ease of troubleshooting.
