  • 1.  Lightening strike on switch

    Well it had to happen, the building got hit by lightening. The switch was on a UPS, but a few ports were taken out. The thin clients on those ports were fried as well.

     

    So, when returning on RMA, is lightening coverred.?

    Briefly powering the switch with sudden electrostatic discharge falls under "electrical stress"

     

    "No warranty will apply if the Hardware ...  has been subjected to unreasonable physical, thermal or electrical stress, misuse, negligence, or accident."
