Syslog messages - kernel MAC filter rejecting multicast MACs

  I'm seeing syslogs of this type:

 

 /kernel: vlan MAC filter: <some multicast MAC> from port <port name> rejected

 

I've done some searches and can't seem to find an explanation of exactly what's going on here.  Could someone direct me to where I could get some more information on these messages?

Those should be just debug messages... I am guessing you have logging set to any / any which can be bad.

 

Change it to any / info and you should only get meaningful messages.
