    Hi guys,

    I hope this makes sense, but in troubleshooting an issue I wanted to try and understand how the ex deals with the packets that flow through it. 

    To give you an example, I'm aware that on the SRX platform that there is a logical packet flow of a packet to screen options - snat-route-zones and so on. Is there the same type of logical packet flow with the ex. 

     

    Will it listen to route . forward based filtering before it listens to static routes or other "variables".

     

    Any pointers would be appreciated.

    Hello,

    In JUNOS, the input FW filter on the interface is executed before route lookup, if that's Your question.
