  • 1.  Virtual Chassis EX4600 Verification

    We purchased 2 EX4600's and I created 4 VC ports, connected 4 40gig QSFP cables and preprovisions the virtual chassis.  The virtual chassis is up and running.  I have successfully done this on many EX3300 switches. I need to verify that the virtual chassis is in fact using all 4 40gig ports to maximize our total throughput. This looks a bit different to me than the EX3300's and I never used 4 cables, only 2 in the past.

     

    I am just looking for how to verify all 4 cables are working. Any asistance is greatly appreciated.

    I would suggest to check that all 4 ports shows up as vc-ports when executing the 'show virtual-chassis vc-port' command.

    'show virtual-chassis active-topology' should also show how traffic between VC-members are forwarded.

     

    If you are still in doubt, please provide output for the following commands:

     

    show virtual-chassis vc-port

    show virtual-chassis device-topology

    show virtual-chassis active-topology
