    Hi dear all,

In cisco switch, the default load balance of port-channel is based on source MAC, and it can be change to  dst-ip ,dst-mac,src-dst-ip,src-dst-mac,src-ip ,src-mac.

In Juniper switch like EX4200 and EX4500, what's the default load balance mechanism of LAG? How to modify it ? And what choices do we have ?

I googled but only found the configuration example of EX9200. But EX4200 and EX4500 do not have the hash-key command statement. So how can I change it?

    Thanks.

    Best Regards

It's not user configurable on those platforms. On the EX4200 and EX4500 then IPv4 is load-balanced on a hash of a tuple of source IP, dest IP, source port and dest port. See http://kb.juniper.net/InfoCenter/index?page=content&id=KB22943&actp=search
