how does virtual chassis arrive with the correct temperature

Hi all,

I am monitoring the temperature of our Virtual chassis using the snmp oid 1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.1.13.1.7.9.1.0.0.

When I do this, I get 98 degrees.  My question is when it says 98 degrees, how is it coming up with that since it has multiple switches and each sensor on each switch could be reporting a different temp?  Is it using an average or is it just using one sensor from one of the switches?

I've tried to look at all the specs and I couldn't find any info about this.

Thanks.

Re: how does virtual chassis arrive with the correct temperature

The MIB OID ".1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.1.13.1.7.9" will give you the output of the Temperature for each member in a Virtual Chassis although the MIB OID ".1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.1.13.1.7.9.1.0.0" will only give you the temperature for the Virtual Chassis Master Switch
