  • 1.  loop in the network by bridging two ports in the switch

    Hi,

     

    We had a loop in our network by our furniture contractor loop the cable between two sockets which are in two vlans, how we can mitigate such a condition.

    Generally storm control can protect against this or else turn on STP on access user ports and use BPDU guard.

    Thank you for the message, we have MSTP enabled on the switch, Is this enough with BPDU guard ?

    Should be as long as MSTP (or any form of STP) is enabled at the user ports along with BPDU Guard.  For info go here:
