I checked his firewall was disabled on his laptop and on his home router / DSL modem, but getting the following error when he tries to connect with the VPN Client: Error 10048: Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted It sounds like there is a port conflict on his system, but we don't see any other VPN clients on his machine. Any thoughts?

Ok, we found the issue. He was in fact, not plugging directly into his DSL router as i asked, and this error was being caused by the firewall blocking the port.
