First impressions are lasting impressions, or so it’s said. But, in the case, of Digital London you could be forgiven if you think the event has little relevance outside the M25. The trend for digital technology to make physical location less significant has a direct bearing on the concept of the event. The challenges London faces in terms of harnessing the potential of ubiquitous and seamless communications to create a vibrant environment in which individual citizens, businesses, and government organisations can thrive are mirrored across the UK. That’s why over two thirds of the delegates from the public sector represent organisations from outside the London belt.
As a founding sponsor of Digital London, Juniper brought its expertise in developing some key strands of the event. Our Simply Connected proposition empowers organisations and individuals in a mobile world through evolution to a dense wireless access environment that simplifies the campus network to provide secure, device-agnostic connections. In a world where the device you use to access information and the information itself are increasingly physically separated, network reliability, availability and security becomes critical. As your dependency on mobility grows so you place ever greater trust in the networks that underpin it.
Digital London offers you the chance to hear Juniper speaking on Trusted Mobility in a Simply Connected world. Sean Dolan, our SVP for EMEA, will deliver a keynote speech on Tuesday 13th March at 11.20am and will conduct a panel session after. Sean will explore the link between city innovators, networks, and how to drive innovation and value for digital cities and communities. He will present technology as an enabler that allows London to lead the way to become a city populated with truly social businesses – connecting everything and empowering everyone. Sean will also address some of the challenges the network can present to organisations from both a security and growth perspective.
Mark Smith, Head of Campus and Branch Sales – Juniper, will run a seminar that will explain how new networks are underpinning the digital enterprise.
We’ll also have a team on our stand – location 625 – willing to discuss topics ranging from securing a mobile device through to innovation in the datacentre. We look forward to meeting you at the event but, if you cannot make it and would like to know more, just post a comment to that effect and we’ll come back to you.
