Telefonica and Juniper Networks win the Mobile Security Service GTB Innovation Award

On Tuesday 12 June 2012 Global Telecoms Business presented its sixth annual GTB Innovation Awards in front of an audience of 360 industry leaders in a glittering black-tie dinner held in London. 

Juniper and Telefonica submitted its “European Mobile Security Service” and was awarded at the Innovation Awards ceremony. 

                                                                          

Mobility is creating opportunities for Service Providers, mobile device usage has made an operator’s architectural capabilities the fundamental driver for profitability. The recent Trusted Mobility Index found the vast majority of people are using mobile technology today that they do not necessarily trust. This lack of consumer confidence puts mobile adoption at risk. The survey also found that 14% of people would look at service providers for advice on mobile security. With the “Mobile Security Service” Telefónica taps into this opportunity supporting its customers.
