Yesterday was Day 2 of Infosec13 in London and it was great to see and feel the buzz on the Juniper booth where we have been sharing our latest innovative security solutions with the show delegates.

If you can't make the show, and with my Data Center hat firmly on, here’s a quick overview of what the exitement is all about in Data Center security from Juniper....

Looking at the MPLS & Ethernet World Congress agenda, I’m still amazed how after 15^th years our industry can still innovate in this area. Well, the (L)abel (S)witching basis of MPLS remain the same but the (M)ulti(P)rotocol piece is, after 15 years, it is much more important now, than ever before. It’s not just IPv4 or IPv6 over MPLS. In fact is not even IP or packets, but also circuits over MPLS. It is also fascinating how over the 15 years MPLS has been here to solve different problems: ATM transport, IP VPNs, Carrier Ethernet, Multicast, Data Center and Cloud connectivity, mobile networks... and now MPLS is getting ready for SDN.

Last week I was helping out at the Juniper Networks booth at VMWorld in Barcelona. It's the first time I've attended the event. It's big! I heard some 7000 people attended. I believe it!

I’m really happy to be presenting at the Canalys Forum 2012 in Barcelona on 9^th October2012and having the opportunity to discuss with our partners our key offerings. When we were asked about the theme of our presentation it was very clear it had to be; Enterprise Mobility. The reason for this is very simple; with the current economic landscape, enterprises have to be very selective on their investments and, once more, the IT department will have to show complete alignment with the company strategy to bring them to the next level.

Last week Juniper was Silver Sponsor at Telecom Cloud Services Summit (#telcocloud). The audience numbers were significantly higher this year and the topics broader.
