I am planning on upgrading IDP 200 4.1R2 and a IDP-250 5.0 R2 to 5.1R3.
In a lab I did the upgrade on a IDP 200 via NSM with no issues. Is there a preferred way of completing the upgrade via CLI or NSM???
The release notes do not say if one way is preferred over the other.

I think one or the other way. What makes you feel the most comfortable. For me the CLI way and a serial console connection always feels the best.
