I expect the solution to my problem is possibly an event script, unless someone has another suggestion:
problem:
I have an optic WAN port and when it goes down I want to turn down the LAN ports
and when it returns I want to UP the LAN ports.
any ideas on how to do this? or other alternatives.
the idea is for the customer on the LAN port to have a fast failover to the other router that we present them with.

Hi,
yes IMHO the only way to accomplish that is to use an event script. Should I write it for you (no time commitmentsthough)?

If this worked for you please flag my post as an "Accepted Solution" so others can benefit. A kudo would be cool if you think I earned it.

If you would be so kind
I expect it would be quite useful for the community as a whole.
I have no idea about writing the scripts, although its on my roadmap :-)
thank you

Hi,
would you like me to disable all ports which configured with family ethernet-switching and as access ports? Or something more intelligent?
Kind Regards
