30 sec for a "commit"

Hi everybody,
I loaded on my J2300 and J4300 JUNOS 9.1R1.8. Unfortunately I found out that it takes from 20 to 40 seconds to execute a "commit". I have plenty of compact flash (1G) and DRAM (1G).
My previuos release was 8.3R4.3 and the "commit" took less than a couple of seconds at most.

To give you further information, here is the result of the “commit | display detail”. Should it be useful for you, the complete commit took 29 seconds and the time elapsed between the last line “2008-08-22 11:01:14 UTC: notifying daemons of new configuration “ and the message “commit complete” was about 19 seconds.

Is there anybody who experienced the same problem ? Is there any fix ?

please upgrade to latest version, 9.2

9.1 its a known issue.

Sorry Mr. Anwar, but as I wrote at the beginning, I experienced the problem right after upgrading to release 9.1R1.8 from release 8.3R4.3. I did not experience any problem with the old version.

thank you for pointing out ( i also corrected my above post),  9.1 its a known issue, please upgrade/wait for 9.2 to be release

i loaded release 9.2 but unfortunately the problem remained. Any other suggestions ?

Hi everybody,

I've just loaded 9.2R1.10 on my J-6350 and experienced the same problem - commit takes way too long. I don't know whether it is related to J-Series only, cause haven't upgraded anything from M-Series yet.

I don't want to bother J-TAC if it's already signaled.
