Bulk Vlans With or Without S-Vlan Tag

Hello Community

 

Can someone please tell me if it is neccassary to use the bulk s-vlan along with the bulk vlan under major ethernet interface.

 

What is the significance of using bulk s-vlans in broadband networks

 

To me the soul pupose of s-vlan is to save the vlan tags in core but we will need this when we will deploy the vlan per subscriber model of broadband network that also seems a useless model.

Hi,

 

afaik it's not nessecary to use (bulk) s-vlans. If you are ok with max. 4096 VLANs (=subscribers, in your model) per physical-port then you're fine.
