Is a "reseat" of a FRU the same as "offline" + "online"

Is the process of reseating an FRU in the chassis, produce the same result as offlining and Onlining the FRU in the chassis.

It depends on FRU.

Reseating working MX SCB without offlining first produces packet loss in region of 10s of seconds (assuming >1 SCB) whereas offlining/onlining working MX SCB produces virtually no packet loss.

Answering my own question - 

they are not the same

in a M120 some times HSL link errors don't go away with offline/online of the faulty part, and that a reseat usualy clears it.

agree with aarseniev - it depends on FRU & Chassis.
