Hi Can Any one help me in understanding J-Flow functionality on ERX310?
My Requirement is: I am using C-VLAN model on the access device for unicast traffic and one common multicast VLAN for all multicast traffic,so that each BHR/home will have one VLAN for each BHR for all unicast traffic.
Now All services like IPTV, VoD, VoIP, Internet will through C-VLAN for unicast traffic and IPTV will flow through multicast traffic.
As the traffic is flowing through same VLAN,how can start billing for only for Internet usage only? As the unicast VLAN will carry unicast VoD traffic, unicast VoIP traffic, Unicast Internet traffic.
Will the J-Flow,is useful in this condition?
Please suggest me ways to do this.
Thanks
Suresh

I am new to Juniper, but..
Maybe marking plain Internet traffic with a diferent DSCP value than VoIP traffic can be a solution.J-Flow exports ToS, as well as IP addresses and ports...

Hi
J-Flow functionality on E/ERX platworms is targeted for samplng purposes.
For accounting you should use one of several options:
1. RADIUS accounting.
1.1. Policy accounting (when you activate it by RADIUS VSAs)
1.2 Service Manager accounting (quite the same)
2. SRC-PE accounting
All this models are widely used, while J-Flow is used usually for Worm mitigation for Arbor etc.

You may find complete info on simplest method (Radius) by this link:

And this link describes service manager functionality:

On SRC it's a little bit difficult to explain, so, if you have no SRC, don't put in mind
