1. What is 'option 49 array' as used in SRX series.

2. Is 'option 49 array' can be configured on SSG-5 and SSG-20 firewalls?

hi

option 49 is used on switch/firewall when u configure a dhcp server on it. it allows you to direct the trafic of this pool to some specific server. With option 49 array , u can give a list of servers which will be attempted by client to contact in the order of sequence which u have used..e.g

set system services dhcp pool <ip subnet of pool> option 49 array ip address [ < ip addresses of servers to be contacted by client > ]
