    Dear All Expert,

    I'm using an EX82 switch and I want to ask about the log messages in my device.

    {master}
    xxx@CORE-EX82-DC> show log messages | last 1000
    Dec 17 16:45:00 CORE-EX82-DC newsyslog[46151]: logfile turned over due to size>128K
    Dec 17 17:41:55 CORE-EX82-DC /kernel: tsec3 cur_rx_stuck_at: 0x420042 rx_stuck_count: 0
    Dec 17 17:42:32 CORE-EX82-DC chassisd[757]: CHASSISD_SNMP_TRAP6: SNMP trap generated: Power Supply failed (jnxContentsContainerIndex 2, jnxContentsL1Index 3, jnxContentsL2Index 0, jnxContentsL3Index 0, jnxContentsDescr PEM 2, jnxOperatingState/Temp 6)

    What does it mean? What happen with my device's PSU?

    And the other device I'm using an M10i router. This is the log messages:

    {master}
    xxx@M10i-WAN-DC> show log messages | last 100
    Dec 19 15:28:03 M10i-WAN-DC last message repeated 3 times
    Dec 19 15:28:03 M10i-WAN-DC snmpd[1286]: SNMPD_AUTH_FAILURE: nsa_log_community: unauthorized SNMP community from 10.81.4.99 to unknown community name (public)

    What does it mean?

    Thank you for your advice.

    Regards,

    Andrie

    Hey there,

     First message may indicate to PEM 1 loosing current (e.g. someone unplugging the cable by mistake) or to an actual hardware failure on the PEM itself.

     The second simply tells you that the host with IP 10.81.4.99 is sending SNMP requests to the router using the community string "public", which is not configured/authorized.

    Cheers,
