  • 1.  Cannot not stop real-time syslog messages from displaying in console (JunOS 14.1X53-D35

    I keep receiving syslogd messages in real-time on the CLI and It's hindering my ability to configure the switch. 

     

    >monitor stop messages

    does nothing

     

    >monitor stop

    does nothing

     

    starting and stopping monitoring messages does nothing. 

     

    What do?

    Can you check:

    monitor list

    Check to see if this is enabled in the configuration under syslog and remove or deaactivate if present.

     

    system > Syslog > console

    I was able to supress the messages with #deactivate system syslog user *
