  • 1.  Cisco Equivalent of DISTRIBUTE-LIST IN command for OSPF on Juniper

    Hi everybody,

In Cisco, using "Distribute list in " we can control which OSPF computed routes from OSPF DATA BASE get installed into the routing table.  Do we have similar feature on Juniper MX5?

Basically, I want my Juniper routes to do this:

Once it computes the OSPF routes from OSPF data base, it will check those routes against a filter , only routes which fulfil filter's criteria are installed into the routing table.  That is exactly how we use "distribute-list in" on Cisco.

    Much appreciated!!

    Hi,

OSPF has a set of default rules that determine which routes it places in the routing table and advertises from the routing table. The default rules for all routing protocols are known as the default routing policy. The default routing policy is always present. You can further control which routes the protocol stores in the routing table and which routes the routing table exports into the protocol by defining a routing policy for that protocol.
