  • 1.  Clustered SRX240

    Its taken me all day but Ive finally got 2xSRX240 setup clustered.

     

    The system reserves ge-0/0/0 as a management port, but when I browse to its IP I get

     

    Access Error: 401 -- Unauthorized

    Interface is not authorized for HTTP access

     

    So I added

     

    {primary:node0}[edit]
    root@FWA# set system services web-management https interface ge-0/0/0

     

    Help me out, why have a ports thats hardwired as a management port, that has no management on it?

    In an SRX240 cluster,  management interface ge-0/0/0 is renamed.

    Try to use fxp0.0 instead of ge-0/0/0.0.

    Brilliant, annotingly Juniper Support told me I could not use this port for management of the firewall at all

     

    I sert it up as you instructed and it seems I can. I thougt it odd that it dedicated an interface to out of band management, and then you can use that port to manage the thing,

     

    Points to you - If ever you have a problem with an ASA I hope I can retuen the favour 🙂
