  • 1.  JUNOS 8.5 upgrade needs 8.3

    I want to upgrade my J4350 to v8.5 from 8.2, however the upgrade instructions states the following

    "when upgrading from JUNOS Release 8.2 or earlier, upgrade to an interim JUNOS Release 8.3 or later first. (Alternatively, you can use the no-validate option with the request system software add command, but we do not recommend this upgrade method.)"

     

    The issue is that I can't find a link for Release 8.3 on juniper.net. Any help!

    Hello there,

     

    I've run into the same problem.  I'm running an 8.2 release and need to get updated.  I opened a support case with Juniper yesterday and then said I could go from 8.2 to 8.5R3 and then up to 9.3R-something - but the 8.5R3 release notes say that I need to upgrade to 8.3, which doesn't exist anymore.

     

    Anyone have any advice, or should I open a support case for this?
