    Hi

     

    When I checked the JUNOS software download section, I found releases after 8.1. So how I can get the oldest releases?

    JUNOS releases, that have been EOL'd are no long available via the Software Downloads page.  If you have a specific requirement for an older release, please open a JTAC support case, and they should be able to assist you in obtaining it.  It goes without saying; A supported release of JUNOS is your best bet.

    Hi, you will need to have a valid subscription but you can download older versions using the links below. 

     

    1. You will need to know the software version that needs to be downloaded.

     

    2. Then modify the following link and replace the <software version> with the software version you need.

     

    JUNOS Worldwide

    https://download.juniper.net/software/junos-export/<software version>/jinstall-<software version>-export-signed.tgz

     

    JUNOS US/Canada

    https://download.juniper.net/software/junos/<software version>/jinstall-<software version>-domestic-signed.tgz

     

    Example for version 7.2R2.4 JUNOS US/Canada software.

    https://download.juniper.net/software/junos/7.2R2.4/jinstall-7.2R2.4-domestic-signed.tgz

    This worked for me to grab 12.2R4.5.  

     

    I used: https://download.juniper.net/software/junos/12.2R4.5/jinstall-12.2R4.5-domestic-signed.tgz

    Still working for me in 2017!  Just downloaded some old QFX code no longer available on the support site.  Thanks for the tips guys.

    Actually has worked, kind of. I have the full versions of JUNOS that I need but my ex switches won't accept the file.

    Is there a way of installing the jinstall-<version number> version of JUNOS as opposed to jinstall-ex-x200-<version number> version. Is that reccomended.

    I only need to this as a stepping stone between 12.3 and the current reccomended 15.1. The dedicated ex model versions are a lot smaller in size.

     

    For the record i downloaded the 13.3R9.13 version and 14.2R7.5 version (domestic signed).
