  • 1.  Junos Fryfly (vSRX) interface problem

    Good night , all Juniper.

     

    Im trying deploy firefly to vmware workstation 8, and everything running well.

    But i have problem looks like this

     

    marlon@vsrx-r1# commit
    [edit protocols dot1x authenticator interface]
      'ge-0/0/1.0'
        Interface must be defined in the interfaces hierarchy with family ethernet-switching
    error: commit failed: (statements constraint check failed)

    If it's possible or not ? configure family ethernet-switching ? because i want to enable 802.1X protocol authentication .

     

    can anyone explain to me how it works, I really need some advice .

    Hello Marlon

     

    Junos Firefly Perimeter(vSRX) does not support ethernet-switching.

    So you cannot use FireFly for dot1x authenticaiton.
