  • 1.  My FPC slot is in transition

    Anybody knows how to fix this? My fpc slot 0 is offine so I've tried to open it up with request chassis fpc slot 0 online

    but it happened to say FPC 0 is in transition,try again. What can I do to make it online?

    Without knowing more about your platform, it is tough to give a sensible anser, but if we are dealing with M/T/MX, look in the chassisd logs with "show log chassisd"; there should be some hint about what is causing the problem.

     

    On some platforms, you can even try 'start shell pfe direct fpc0' - see if this give you some output.
     

    As always in case of suspected hardware faults/software bugs, I would open a case with the JTAC.. sorry if I am a bit monotonous with this kind of recommendation, but I believe it would be best.

    Then, unfortunately, I cannot help much - it is a software-based platform, so this could either be a problem with the PIMs or a sofware issue.

     

    Other than checking in the messages log for errors, I would contact JTAC, see if they can help.
