    Hey there,

    Deployed MX480 with JUNOS 9.6R2.11 (domestic) and even though sshd is already enabled, every time we issue a commit the following was still prompted (although our configurations did went through and working). Upgraded both REs with the same domestic version, so what gives? anyone? Please?

    'ssh'
        warning: daemon binary /usr/sbin/sshd not found
    commit complete

    Hello there,

    user@router> file list /usr/sbin/ss* detail
    lrwxr-xr-x  1 root  wheel         34 Apr 4   2008 /usr/sbin/ssd@ -> /packages/mnt/jkernel/usr/sbin/ssd
    lrwxr-xr-x  1 root  wheel         35 Apr 4   2008 /usr/sbin/sshd@ -> /packages/mnt/jcrypto/usr/sbin/sshd

    Please check if symlinks are intact.

    Else please do "commit full | display detail | no-more" and post the printout here.

    HTH

    Regards

    Alex

    I am having the same issue on our MX-104 ran the commit full and saw these

    2010-01-25 05:59:54 UTC: propagating foreign files

    [edit system services ssh]

      'ssh'

        warning: daemon binary /usr/sbin/sshd not found

    2010-01-25 05:59:54 UTC: complete foreign files

    2010-01-25 05:59:54 UTC: dropping unchanged foreign files

    2010-01-25 05:59:54 UTC: executing 'ffp propagate'

    2010-01-25 05:59:56 UTC: daemons checking new configuration

    Also ran the file list and this is what i see:

    root> file list /usr/sbin/ss* detail
    lrwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 33 Jan 1 00:04 /usr/sbin/ssd@ -> /packages/mnt/jroute/usr/sbin/ssd

    Does that mean it running internationa version of junos? if so why would juniper ship a device with international version?

    reinstalling the domestic version solved the issue, but then why would juniper ship a product in US with Worldwide wide version running on it in 1st place?
