  • 1.  QOS question on MX5

    Hi everybody,

     

    I have a few questions on MX5:

     

    1)Does outbound filter have any effect on locally sourced traffic?

    I have seen outbound filter does  effect on Brocade and Cisco routers, not sure on Juniper MX5

     

     

    2) Let say we have Bridge domain V666 which has access port f1/1 and routed interface irb.666

    On f1/1/1, we have DSCP classifier say USA, Irb.666 (IP 10.10.10.6) has a DSCP classifier UK. IRB.666 serves as default gateway for connected device on f1/1

    Let say a packet arrives on f1/1 with a DSCP marking, which classifier will be used to place this traffic in a proper forwarding class i.e. USA or UK?

    Hi ,

    1) yes , filter will affect outbound traffic from RE
