  • 1.  Quick Question.

    my first post to these forums , still newbie to Junos.

     

    can anyone please clarify the difference between the follwoing junos commands :

     

    - rename : rename a config statement.

    - replace pattern : of a config statement. 

    - copy : copy a config statemrnt into another.

     

    sorry for the question seems silly but i really couldn't get hold of a junos device to do my own testing.preparing for JNCIA.

    These are all ways to manipulate and change configurations. 

     

    Check out

    Day One Series book Configuring Junos Basics. 

    Chapter 6 Working with Configuration Templates and other shortcuts in the 

     

    There is a discussion and example for each command.
