We are thinking to upgrade Junos OS from V11.4 to 12.3 of SRX 650. We have more than 30 SRXs and these are all clusterd. Can I upgared only one side so that I can easily change(faile over) to the other SRX which is instaled old version if I see something wrong in upgaraded version?

your SRX-Cluster must have 2 identical SRX'es with the same Software Version - upgrading only one isn't working.
Your only option would be to upgrade using the minimal-downtime-method (https://kb.juniper.net/library/CUSTOMERSERVICE/GLOBAL_JTAC/BK17947/LICU_v0.7.pdf) - by splitting the cluster and then upgrading one machine after the other - but in order to form the Cluster again, the Version needs to be identical.
