Goodnight folks, I'm from Argentina and now want to migrate from mikrotik to juniper, we are to change the mikrotik firewall for Juniper SSG-140 SH, the question is whether the SSG-140 device supports traffic 600 users with traffic in a of multiwan, 130Mb WAN1, WAN2 15MB, 15MB WAN3, Wan4 20Mb, 20Mb Wan5, the idea is to use both interfaces 100/100 / 1000GB one for 130MB and the other for Lan (internal users).
Some firewall rules blocking pair for protection of computer attacks himself as traffic control as performed on another computer.
The question is whether it supports these conditions because it is a network of small WISP growing and I'm afraid of not having enough processor to do so. thank you very much

In general, your specs look good for the product.  Juniper devices are limited by resources not by users.  In your situation it looks like the main parameters are total bandwidth and 5 WAN circuits.  the SSG140 has 300 meg IMIX and 6 virutal routers.

But if you are buying new devices, you would probably be better served with the SRX line.  Either the SRX210 or SRX220 in your case giving capacities of 10/15 virtual routers for growth with still 250/300 meg performance IMIX.

Steve thank you very much for the reply and clarification, sell website juniper SSG product line not marketed more. In my previous job to handle very short time the SSG550 with Junos, and I liked them.
Then also the opportunity to meet the SX220 but came with a Screen OS that did not taste much. In Argentina the vendor offered us the SX line but I think already come with Junos.
Thank you very much for the links, they helped me to evaluate products. I think it was time to say goodbye to the mikrotik since served their purpose by low cost but liars are the bandwidth they claim to have.
An Art Webmail question, there is much difference in version 6.2 of junos to 12.xx?

    thank you very much

I assume by webmail you mean the web management interface of the two OS, ScreenOS vs Junos.

There is a world of difference between the web interface on ScreenOS and Junos.  The Junos systems are mostly managed via the cli by engineers.  The web interface is much better than it used to be but I still don't know any engineer that regularly uses the web over the cli for SRX/Junos administration.

Truely the web interface is one of the great advantages of ScreenOS over Junos.

But in you case the advantage of Junos over ScreenOS will be in routing engineering.  When managing traffic on five different WAN interfaces you will have a wealth of more BGP options for traffic engineering than you do in ScreenOS.

good evening, thanks for the reply, offered me SRX 220, but has a version that does not junos, you can migrate it to junos, I have to pay a license to do so.I wonder how. and I want to start making a test lab and then implement it and begin to migrate from Mikrotik to juniper. Thanks for the support.

I'm confused.  The SRX series devices only run Junos.

Some SSG series devices can run either ScreenOS or Junos.

ScreenOS is the operating system used by the SSG140.

Which OS are you looking to use for this project?

I was confused, I thought the line had ssg factory installed with native junos. It is as you say, I was wrong to formulate the query. thanks
