Has anyone got much experience with 2010.4 NSM? I've just built up a couple of servers and see the state of the cluster is always 'Warning' due to memory. The servers have 4GB which should be plenty (I'm not even managing any devices under the NSM cluster yet). Right clicking on the server, and clicking view details shows only 60% usage. Logging onto the host and doing a free -m show's that pretty much all of the servers memory is being used. I understand this is fairly common on Linux anyway, it'll use all of what's available.
The cluster bounces between Warning and OK. Are there memory issues with this release, should I use an earlier version instead?

I observe the same behaviour.
NSM 2010.4, after install had server 85% memory used (as shown in server monitor), then I made settings as recommended release-notes (Xmx1024, sysctl.shmmax etc) and I have 91% memory used ... Server has got 4GB RAM, there is not problem.
I suppose there is "NSM memory issue"? It shows always "2GB RAM used"
When I look into "old" NSM2007.3r5, there is memory utilization of 83-85% ... almost (approximately) the same :-(

My next answer is ...
I've read "NSM 2010.4 contains some memory leaks" ... somewhere here on forums.juniper ... I don't know how checks those memory leaks, but those could explain this behaviour?
(On February 2011 has been released NSM2011.1 ... time for upgrade? )
