  • 1.  Monitoring SRX memory utilization using SNMP

Hi, I am new to Junipers but was looking for a MIB to monitor memory utilisation (using Cacti) on 3600 SRXs.
I found one but can't seem to relate it to what is shown by the memory commands we use at the console. Which might be to do with my being unfamiliar with the architecture, i.e. what exactly it is I'm looking at, but if anyone has any insites that would be appreciated.

    If I do this:
    'show snmp mib walk jnxJsSPUMonitoringMemoryUsage'

it puts out a figure of 63

    but the command:
    'show chassis routing-engine'

shows 33% utilisation. Also other commands like 'show system process summary' reveal memory figures none of which I could seem to correlate to the figure that the SNMP query shows.

The MIB to query for Routing Engine Memory Utilisation on our SRXs and EX4200s is:

    1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.1.13.1.11.9.1.0.0
