Hi,
Is there a way to manually issue a back of the NSM Database to an offdevice location? I know I can ssh into the NSM and re-configure the box to do off-site backups. The issue is I just want to do the backup manually.
Any Ideas?
Thanks
Magraw
Since the local backups are usually stored in the /var/netscreen/dbbackup directory, you can write a small script to rsync this directory or if you want a single backup, then /var/netscreen/dbbakcup/backup1 into the remote site.
You can execute this manually or maybe put it in the cron weekly.
Does this help ?
Thanks,
Chandra
Best way is to mount these 2 directories to NAS, which is supported by Juniper:
/var/netscreen/DevSvr/logs /var/netscreen/dbbackup
Then use another host in your network to mount these 2 directories read only and do the backup.
