Hello,
NSM2007 r3 can act as a syslog receiver,??? i mean to say can it recieves logs from SRX and stores in local hard disk.??, Uptil now what i know is we can manage the devices from NSM but also can we use to receive the syslog from junioer devices.

NSM 2007 can not act as "legal" syslog server. If you need then install rsyslog or syslog-ng on the same hardware ...
Since NSM 2011.1 you cas use "syslog over udp" but this is not "service syslog" and this is "security log stream mode" ... this is a kind of NSM logs receiving.
