Some Questions on NSM Express?

Hi,

I want to ask some questions:

1- How to know the current version of NSM OS on appliance through command line?

2- How to reboot, shutdown, start stop Guisvr etc through cli?

Thanks

Re: Some Questions on NSM Express?

I'm not sure about the CLI for OS version (haven't bother to look into it in the pass :smileyhappy:).  However, most likely the box is reachable from a web browser, so point your web browser to https://<ip of nsm> and it should provide you a login page.  Login with the admin account and it has some info on the screen, which I think includes the version.

To restart the GuiSvr/DevSvr, do the following:

1) get to root (I think nsm account also works)

2) there are 2 scripts in /etc/init.d depending on if you want to restart the gui or dev server.  Don't have the actual name right now, but look int /etc/init.d and you'll see the 2 files.  There are options to stop, restart, start, status.

i know the commands of NSM , but i don't know if it will work for NSM-Xpress as well:

/etc/init.d/devSvr ( restart  start stop)

/etc/init.d/guiSvr ( restart  start stop)

Yes, the above commands posted by SSHSSH will work on NSM-Xpress also.
