Removing Barriers to Cloud Adoption - Network Agility

Few weeks ago in one of his first discussions with the partner community, new Juniper Networks CEO, Shaygan Kheradpir, probably made an understatement saying that with trend of exponential private and hybrid cloud growth, networking is more important and harder to pull-off than ever. Cloud is reality and most analysts agree. In latest Gartner’s large enterprise research on Private Cloud from June 2013, only 11% large enterprises stated that they have no plans to deploy or use (already deployed) private cloud in the next two years.  But there are also inhibitors and risks to cloud adoption….

Government regulations for monitoring data traffic as it crosses carrier networks makes lawful intercept (LI) and call logging crucial issues for service providers. As concern over everything from global terrorism to electronic fraud grows, the ability to catch traffic and isolate it for in-depth analysis has taken on much greater importance. Surveillance regulations can have a negative impact on network performance and drive up costs for services providers, but deploying the correct technology can minimize the impact of compliance.
