Reducing the Costs of New JUNOS Deployment s
According to a recent study commissioned by Juniper, deploying JUNOS® Software can save time and operational costs in running the network. The study results are great news for the reliability and savings you can experience once JUNOS is deployed in your network, but how can you reduce the initial effort of deployment? fcmvwd2jqu
Fortunately, Juniper offers training, services, and tools that can ease your migration to JUNOS, including the Fast Track certification program, professional services, and migration tools. Today, I want to share news about recent enhancements to our most popular migration tool: the IOS to JUNOS software translator.
I2J is a web-based tool that enables users to easily translate full IOS configurations for Cisco 65xx, 75xx and 12xxx platforms into JUNOS. The I2J 9.5R1 release adds the following new switching and routing features:
- New EX Series switching features: AutoQoS, 802.1x, Port Security, RADIUS Server, DHCP Snooping & DAI and AAA Authentication.
- New routing features: MPLS LDP, MPLS L3VPN, MPLS PIM, and enhanced support for BGP, OSPF and ISIS.
I recently sat down and talked to Jeff Mattan about how I2J can automate the configuration translation process to reduce the time and costs of new deployments. Watch our discussion and then check out the newly available eLearning training course on I2J so that you can learn more about saving time in your migration to JUNOS.
