Last month, I participated on a panel at CTIA in Las Vegas with some mobile networking industry luminaries http://bbwfunwired.com/schedule/F1.asp including Mark McDiarmid, T-mobile's Director of Engineering and Systems Planning; Scott McElroy, Vice President of Technology Realization; Cayetano Carbajo Martin, Technology Director, GCTO, Telefonica and others, which was chaired by Dr. Peter Meissner, Operating Officer of the NGMN Alliance. The topic was tools for success, enablers and key success factors for deployments of next generation broadband networks. It generated a lot of interesting dialogue and one thing immediately became very clear: we all shared a very similar view of the major transformation that is underway in the mobile industry.
